Watchmaking and the wrist

Aviation and watchmaking grew up together: the chronometers that kept the ships on course were the instruments the first airmen trusted, and a photographer on the perimeter fence still keeps a watch on the wrist for the pass. The reference site I actually use for the pieces kept at home, and the one I recommend when people ask.

Canals and waterways

Manchester and local history

Historical link banners

The original 2003 site carried three link exchange banners. They are reproduced here as part of the archive: they are a good illustration of how small enthusiast sites supported each other before social media.
