City lights, deliberately blurred. Illuminated signs and office windows drawn into coloured trails by moving the camera during a long exposure. The technique is the opposite of the careful night photography on the Manchester at Night page, and it works because of the same long exposure.

The last of the light. A round bale left in a field, black against a sky that has almost finished changing colour. Exposing for the sky is what makes the bale a silhouette.
